Ryan Franks is a composer, producer, orchestrator and sound designer working in LA and NYC. He has worked extensively in animated movies and series for adults and kids with clients like Netflix, Max, Comedy Central, Mattel, Lionsgate and Cartoon Network. Collaborating often with Scott Nickoley (SouthPark) both in film/tv as well as in advertising with national campaigns for companies like Honda, Acura, Subaru, Oreos, Playstation and MAC.
Ryan has also begun working in New York as an orchestrator and music producer for theater on new shows such as Mad Hatter the Musical and The Village of Vale. a very exciting experience allowing him to use all aspects of his background as a classically trained composer, multi-instrumentalist, orchestrator and sound designer.
Growing up as a woodwind, guitar and piano player he has continued to broaden his scope with an insatiable curiosity for sound and music, including synthesis, mixing, and a unique production style blending organic and electronic elements..
He has also worked as the supervising sound editor for successful shows on Max, Netflix and Cartoon Network such as Tuca & Bertie and Ten Year Old Tom.
Looking toward the future he hopes to continue integrating the many facets of his experience to be a one-stop shop for new projects, providing creativity, clarity, versatility and accountability for his clients throughout the music and post process. additionally, he aspires to bring his passion for music creation and sound design to new theatrical productions to feed his love for live performance and working with multi-faceted teams on those living, breathing creations that never sit still.
